Meet Our Designers

Gail Wolfe
As co-owner and senior designer at Traditions, Gail Wolfe is always happy to talk about her experienced staff of interior designers and the clients they serve.  "We are very blessed in many ways," she says, "both by our talented staff of superior designers, who are so caring and innovative and by our customers, who have become friends we'll cherish forever.  Ever since opening in 1996, we've had a great time working with the people of Hall County and surrounding areas."  Wolfe, who has nearly 35 years of design experience, likes to describe her design team's mantra as providing the best interior design available at any budget.

Carla Wright
Carla Wright, the senior designer at Traditions  , has extensive design experience and time in the furniture industry, tallying 25 years.  Wright has worked with all aspects of interior design:  carpets, paint, wallpaper, decor, furniture--the list goes on.  With a dual degree from Brenau University in interior design and home economics, she specializes in helping customers who are building or remodeling homes by coordinating existing furniture with new pieces for an extraordinary look.  Carla's interest in design isn't limited to any one kind of thing. I enjoy working with people collaboratively so I keep an open mind. It's always been my strong suit if you pursue things, something great will come of it, And with so many new products in the industry today, it is easy to find ideas that inspires me.  I enjoy assisting clients in achieving a unique look, but still keeping the home personal, to suit their family lifestyle.

Jenny Peck
Jenny Peck discovered she had a love for art and that talent was an obvious starting point for a career, so she enrolled at Gwinnett Technical College to study interior design.  As her education grew, her talents, inspiration and design philosophy proved Jenny's ideals were much more mature than her age.  Soon, she had landed a highly competitive design internship at Traditions. Jenny believes that is imperative to incorporate one's personal style into their home and that a  customer maintains the flexibility to create different looks and reinvent a room often.

David Smith
A transplant from Kentucky, David Smith comes to Traditions with more than 20 years experience in the fine furniture industry, dealing with case goods, accessories, window treatments and rugs.  Smith's design prowess makes him a perfect fit for the Traditions team.  Working by appointment and on Saturdays, Smith has highly sought after design skills.

Alison Hudgins
Alison Hudgins a Gainesville native, graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in Interior Design from the Lamar Dodd School of Art.
Alison previously worked with an Atlanta Design firm designing large commerical firms and residential homes as well.
Alison also started her own design firm Alison Hudgins Interiors.
Some designers have a so-called look if you see their work you know who the designer is. I don't think you could categoize me that way.
When asked how she approaches a design project--by the personality of the client or the personality of the space- Alison does not hesitate. The client always, I never forget whose home it is, whose money is being spent and who has to live with it long after the job has been completed.
